FAQ's (including camping rules)
Acces to the site / Cars
Access to the site can only be gained by using a sep key (which you will receive at check-in). You may park one car at each pitch or Bungalow, additional cars must be parked outside in the car park near the reception. Boat trailers, vans and minivans must be also be parked outside in the car park at the reception after loading / unloading.
The maximum speed limit on site is 5 km/h.
Arrival / Departure
Campsite Pitches: On the day of arrival after 13:00
Bungalows / Bungavans: On the day of arrival after 15:00
Before 11.00 hours on the day of departure.
If you would like to extend your stay or would like to arrange a late checkout? Please let us know at reception and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Barbecues and open fires
Barbecuing is only permitted with gas BBQ’s. Gas BBQ’s are available for rent at the reception. Barbecuing with open fire, charcoal fires, fire pits, torches, bonfires, etc. are not permitted due to the risk of fire.
Barrier and acces to the site
The barrier is in operation from 08.00 - 22.00 hours using your sep card. Outside of these time guest are asked to park outside in the car park.
Bicycle and Canoe rental
The surrounding area is the perfect place to cycle or canoe. Canoes and bicycles (adult and children's) are available for rent at reception. Also available are cycle and walking maps.
Boats / Dinghies
All boats and dinghies must be moored at one of the two jetties. It is not permitted to store boats at your camping pitch or at the Bungalows
Dogs are welcome at Resort de Arendshorst. The rule is one dog per bungalow and two dogs per camping pitch. Dogs must be on a leash at all times on site. All dogs must be let out outside the camping ground. Please clean up after your dog.
For guests visiting from the UK: We are happy to assist in making an appointment at the local vet prior to your return journey.

If assistance of an urgent nature is required please call the front desk on Tel: 0529-453248 or use the intercom located on the left hand side of the reception door. We can always assist and ensure that the necessary services are called.
For non urgent medical matters the reception can assist you in making an appointment at a local doctor / dentist or vet.
Resort de Arendshorst is the ideal location to fish the Overijsselse Vecht. For more information fishing see our dedicated fishing page.
There are a wide variety of gas bottles available in the kiosk shop.
Wireless Internet access is available in the restaurant and the terrace and at the caravan pitches.
Freshly baked bread, rolls, croissants, baguettes etc are available daily at our kiosk shop. (opening times can vary depending on the season so check with the reception) Please place your bread order the day before. No later than 7pm.
The shop also has a basic range of non-perishable foods.
Loss / Damage to private property
Resort de Arendshorst is not liable for loss or damage to private property.
Our reception is open daily from 10.00 - 17.00. The reception is there to help you with all your questions as well as offering detailed tourist information about the local area, region, maps for walking and cycling etc.
Restaurant / terrace
Open daily for coffee, a drink, ice cream, assorted snacks or a full meal. You can also order food to take away (opening times can vary depending on the season so please check with the reception).
The site has two modern sanitary blocks which are centrally located and which are cleaned several times a day. Nevertheless if there is something that is not right, please let us know immediately. The sanitary blocks are also equipped with laundry facilities (washing machine, tumble dryer and iron) and a chemical toilet dump. All the bungalows are self-contained.
Smoking in all our buildings (reception, kiosk, restaurant, sanitary facilities and bungalows) prohibited under Dutch law.
There is a small tackle shop on site, selling dry bait and a wide range tackle accessories. There are various tackle shops in close proximity to the site. For directions ask the reception.
Toddler and paddling pool
For our smallest guests only - there is a paddling pool with two water levels: 15 and 30 cm. Open daily from 11.00 - 19.00. Glass and alcohol are not allowed at the pool. Use of the paddling pool is at your own risk. Children are not allowed to swim without parental guidance.
